Oh my!
Finals and Christmas presents... don't they come together nicely at the same time? Not so much I think. Eh, it's what happens. But I'll be free in a few weeks time!

Month between
Blogs. Owch. But that's what happens when your life is consumed by the theatre and graduating. Things get pushed to the side. Hair ended a few weeks back, The Shape of Things starts tonight.... and I have projects for school, projects for christmas and homework and notes and tests on tpo of it all!
But at the moment I am okay, I am caught up and today looks like it's going to be mellow! Hurrah! Hopefully I will get back to this before another months gone by...

Sunday!
The day of rest... thank goodness! Oh man, sleeping in is phenomenal! And I don't have to crew again until thursday.... hurrah!
But I've been having weird dreams. Like last night, I dreamt that the society/community I lived in was thrown into the ocean where a giant sea monster with horns was gonna eat us (or so we thought.) And later my dream brother in law (whose a crazy fool) started a cult where they stole a baby and claimed he was Jesus. Weird.
BUt I am off to do the very last I can do with my Halloween costume, and then my guy is coming out for the day! Yay!

Hair! Haaair! HAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIRRREE!
Yes folks I am on sound crew for Hair. I am way glad I chose this production... because I have been apart of some ugly ones. Real ugly ones. But I am so happy and proud of this department! The choreography is amazing and the singing is awesome too! I will have no problem hanging around every night for this.... except that it messes up my weekends. But it's run is only 3 weeks. You should come see!!
IN other news, I know I haven't posted in forever. It's because I don't have a life. :( Hopefully that will change soon!

Dreams
I had 2 last night. They were fun, and by fun I mean very weird. The first one consisted of me and my mom (and the rest of our beach community) fleeing our beach town from some unknown creature that was killing the people. It was strangely reminiscent of the basilisk incident in Harry Potter (which I incidentally watched this weekend.) I was very determined to get some of my fabric with me as my mom and I fled to my uncle's in Berkley. I ran across some shady people I over heard talking about whatever the beast was and how they were going to profit. Very Team Rocket. I don't really remember the second one.... not nearly as bothersome.... and by bothersome I mean frightening. I was running around with a group of friends in a foreign place (I'm gonna say Italy). AT first we were shopping, then we were running and hiding and trying to get somewhere in the nighttime. It was odd, and it was the kind of people I don't normally chill with. I don't know.
I guess my subconcious is playing catch-up from the lack of dreaming I've had recently.

This weekend
has been rather blah. I did go to the beach with Robin and our Dogs yesterday, that was pretty cool, and then Jeff and I got frozen yoghurt and played pool, also pretty cool, then I ran errands with my dad, not to bad but nobody had then things either of us wanted. Unfortunate. But I have some work to get done... like helping unload mama's car. Which isn't that end of the world if I don't, because I am leaving it here finally. I have enjoyed driving that beast, not as terrible on gas milage as oyu would expect. Does much better than some smaller, 'fuel-efficient' cars if I remember correctly..... but I am glad to have my Phyllis back! She stills needs her transmission flushed and tires rotated... and her AC belts changed, but I think those can wait another week as I think next weekend is the one where John goes to vegas..... :( I wish these weekends weren't so wonky.... oh well. Not much can be done about whats been did.
But in other news I should be graduating in May as long as I don't fail any classes!!!!! :D SO EXCITED!! Unfortunatly, I have not thought farther than that about my future. We'll see when I get there.

Bad Start
To my semester. I've been gone all weekend at John's, keeping company and trying to keep minds off other things. Unfortunately on of John's best friends died last week in a motorcycle accident. His funeral is tomorrow. I have been to my tues/thurs classes once. I am a stickler for being in class, and not even doomsday prevent me from getting to class on time, but I do recognize when somethings are more important. But my, is this making everything difficult!
It is quite sad, and I have had a rather gloomy day. Long breaks between classes, finished my book, got bored of my DS.... lots of time to think and plan and contemplate. Bah!

Yesterday
Was something else. The last of my open-close days. SOOOOOO happy! I crashed yesterday.... only a small pack of peanuts kept me functional. But Oh. My. Gawd. There was so much drama! And I feel bad for not sticking up for Cole..... I should have said more than 'take it to the back room.' Ugh, him and Katie got in a fight because Katie wont do maintenance and Cole called her out on it. So I had to file the SECOND incident report this week. Hoo-boy! My writing skills are getting better I believe, or at least incident reporting. It was gnarly, more than 20 minutes combined screaming from both parties.
On a way cooler note, one of my 4 year-olds is naming his snake after me. Originally it was just going to be Rae, but now it's String Ray. :D How awesome am I!?!? It just made my day. I mean, a kid in your class naming his pet after you? You'll discover it hard to find a higher complement than that from a Tiny Tot. Some of my co-workers took it the other way, like the kid is saying I"m sneaky and decivious. But being 4, I highly doubt he has ANY connotations associated with a snake other than it's a reptile thats cool. I'm totally honored. And I know they are all just jealous. :)

woah!
Just finished watching this bizarre movie about the world. Parts are really good and interesting, and parts are just crazy crap. I enjoyed it though, always looking something to keep my mind as open as possible. :)
Other than that... not much going on. Teaching lessons, found a place to stay, have a wedding to attend next week getting ready for school. All that good stuff. And Russ told me yesterday I had red hair. Strange. I'll take it as a complement.

Totally Forgot!
I had something to write here, but now I do not remember. At all. Oops, oh well.
I'm being an awful person and haven't hung out with Jeff. I"m attempting to fix that. I've become super social all-the-sudden. Kinda weird, but keeping me on my toes the way I like it. I'm weird that way: when I have nothing to do I do just that. Nothing. But if I am kept busy, I get all kinds of things taken care of that I would otherwise ignore. Go figure.
I'm also super happy at my social projects, aka John and Andy. As for John, hes not against socializing, but he just tends to avoid my friends. No more! We had a lovely evening with my innerest circle. And as for my brother, he is attending Jarv's bachelor party next weekend (so far) that John is planning. Yay! We're all blossoming into functional adults!

Yeah, I know
Now that I am back this thing is dead.... I am aware. It always happens. I get ridiculously busy with work and crap and my blog falls to shit. Oops. Whatever..... I've been dealing with all sorts of drama with the city. Nothings going well over there apparently.
Managers are falling left and right with random ailments and such. First was Andy, who just got another job. Then there is Nancy whose last day is Wednesday. Then 2 Thursdays ago my mom busted open her knee and got 16 stitches, last week sometime Lane got laid out by some teenagers down at portables and had to have surgery to fix his orb and part of his nose. Then Dennis is having a family emergency... and in the next few weeks or so Shannon will have her baby. This is getting ridiculous.
I need to go apartment shopping this weekend... but my mom is having issues finding someone to cover her shift on Friday, which means I might have to go with my dad..... not the exciting day I had planned. Oh well.
And then Sarah and Jarvis are getting married in about 3 weeks.... so I have to get ready for that too!

Pain in my ass.
I was supposed to pick John up from the airport in about an hour, but some how he missed his flight and wont be in until 7-something tonight. How he gained a 7 hour layover in Tuscon is beyond me. But now I am in San Bernardino for the next 11 hours more or less by myself... Jarvis will come home from work around 2-3 if I remember correctly; but still. What am I to do? I suppose work on my slide show.... but I don't really feel like it. At all. And I am hungry and don't have food.... this sucks. Well, I guess I'm going to go find some place to get something to eat and then wait.... forever! D:

It's been a while.
I know. I've been bad. No updates.... but nobody reads, who who am I apologizing to? But I digress... busybusybusy with work.... 91.2 bi-weekly.... ick. Bu far the most I've worked. Ever. Making up for lost time, right? :D Fatty paycheck coming I'm sure! That makes me happy.
Other than that, I went out with the other group of girls last night, which was interesting and fun, I kinda wished I had continued the party at Nicole's with the rest, but I pretty much passed out when I got home, so I didn't feel that bad.
Sunday night was time spent with the first group of gals. Oh the shenanigans we have..... and will continue.. to have. That sentence wasn't awkward or anything. At all.
Kenna needs to be in town because she is the last one I have things for. GET HERE BITCH!
Robin left yesterday, so I'll have to bother Katie, Jeff or Dee if I want to do anything in SD. John gets in on Saturday, which I am way stoked for! 6-7 weeks is far too long. TOO LONG! I'll be happy when he's back. :)

I am here! So far Jeff is the only person I've hung out with... I'll work on the rest this week!

2 days left!
And boy, I am not ready to leave! Not so much because of how awesome it is here, which it is, but because of the crap that I dont want to come home to. Namely to the Pool that I work at which has been in a constant spiral of degeneration since Kathy left. My mom has informed me that one of the 2 incompetent managers has quit, and that the rumor is that the other one is going to walk right before the biggest event of the summer. Not something I want to hear. Ugh. Then she got angry at me for getting upset, but what am I supposed to do? Back flips of joy? Honestly..... but I dont want to think of that anymore. I am still here and I still have things to do!
Hiking in Cinque Terre tomorrow for one. SO Terribly excited for that. You have no idea! I also have no more Italiano Classes..... had our 'final' today.... which wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be. Then there is more hiking on Friday morning around the island next to our classroom.... ah! The life for me is here!
But fear not, Europe has me not in her snares, as she has some of my fellows classmates. Though I love it, I miss my things and my life and my peoples (friends/family/boyfriend) and so I shall return; both home and to Italy in the future at some point. Hopefully with some of the afore mentioned people. :)
See you all in a few days! Hopefully those rumors of another strike on Saturday are false.... we'll see! :D

Millions Strike in Italy.
Better info here and here.
Basically, all planes, trains and automobiles are not running today and there is no where for me to go. Not to mention that any big, or chain-like business (the COOP an our grocery stores) are all closed.
Firstly, let me just says how awesome it is to be in this country while this 24hr strike occurs. There is no better way to experience a countries political system than when they exorcise protests.
But it SUCKS! We were supposed to go hiking today in Cinque Terre, and I was hoping to go sunglass shopping (I broke mine the other day; way to go Rae!) So I am stuck in my apartment more or less, with nothing much today but work on my report which is fine the way it is. Not to mention that everyone I hang with here is taking a nap or trying to buy train tickets. No one wants to go walking around for shits-and-giggles or anything! It is SO frustrating! I am getting really frustrated! It's ridiculous!
What else is ridiculous? That fact that I am breaking everything I own over here. It's terrible. Camera, Ipod (miraculously works again! I dunno!) sunglasses, not to mention the chocolate stains on my white skirt form Rome; and my lappy's been acting up with funny junk. Yet, I still have a great attitude about it all. I know I sound pessimistic and junk right now, but it's only because I am bored. Bored out of my f-ing ind!

Parma
another terrible train experience. When will we learn our lesson? This time I hope. But basically we got approached by a creepy older gentleman who would not leave us alone. Then another one showed up, left, showed up again this time with pizza and beer. First time one of my traveling pals wouldn't go because she didn't want to be rude. The second time I nabbed her junk so she had to come with me. I will tell you in person if you want, but I have had little and very terrible sleep as I got in this morning at 8am and didn't sleep all night. But we managed to find the most awesome park area full of chillin' college aged kids. Thank goodness. And Emanuel, Ricardo, Dominico and the fourth one (sorry Buddy, I don't remember your name!). They talked to us from 2-4 in the morning and showed us the towns Duomo (well, the outside of it at least). They were very nice and we appreciated their company after the Creeper incident at the Train Station. Bleck.
Oh, just so voi (we you in intalian= you all) knows, this was during the 5 hour layover from Venice to La Spezia. Venice was awesome. We just wandered the streets and shopped. It was amazing. I spent more money that I would have liked to have in a month on a normal basis.... but this is Italy and damn it I deserve to splurge sometimes too! (although I was still stingy.... old habits die hard.) I got a rockin' bathing suit out of the trip too.
All you girls are getting awesome souvenirs by the way. But better love them or I will shank you. It's a promise. But seriously, I put a lot of thought into them and I hope you enjoy them!

Rome- Finally
yeah, I know. It's taken me a while because the ride back was awful.... But enough of that! I want to talk about Rome!
Ah Rome.... what fun I had. The train ride there was neat, as everyone else in my group had first class tickets(I got the last one) but I didn't get kicked out when I was sitting with them. Cool Beans. Although we did initially get on the wrong train, we switched in Pisa and were set right again. But since we didn't leave as early as we should have there was no time once we got to Rome and made it to our hotel (which was a hike well worth it- We got to stay at the Sheraton in Rome on an employee discount. Hurray Nancy with her brother who works for them! So Now I only owe 37 euro($58.37 ) for two nights in a kick-ass hotel. Beat that! I would have paid around the same for a hostel.... ewww. And we got 1/2 off food and drink form the hotel bar and restaurant. Boo-ya!) So we stayed and had dinner at the hotel after drinks at the bar and then went to bed to wake up early and hop on the first shuttle into town.
Which is what we did! We arrived blocks from the Colosseum but hiked our asses to Vatican City first (fearing long lines in the mid-day sun). But there were no lines to be had and off we went into St. Peters Basilica happy as clams. Then we lost Teena. She's a grown up, knows how to get back to the hotel and has a key so we wandered on assuming she was ahead of us. We spent an hour and a half in there at least, and we weren't just being slow pokes(like in the next part of our day). Once we exited Nancy, Meredith and I waited outside in hopes of spotting Teena while Mike and Bonnie traversed the inside again to see if she was waiting somewhere for us. No Teena. :( So we headed off for the Vatican Museum. (Oh, Ps: the best part about Italy is that most places you want to visit are religious places, where you have to be 'modestly dressed;' meaning pants/skirts below the knees and no bare shoulders.) Around room 3 or so we bumped into Teena. Hurray! She had been missing for like 3+ hrs at this point. We had devised a meeting plan in case we got separated again and we pressed on, losing Teena in record time, again. (Yet the rest of us managed to stay together, hmmm) But 3.5hrs later we exited that Museum. FYI: We had mere sips of a latte on our way out as we almost missed our shuttle and had only crumbs of a croissant. So my blood sugar was low and I knew it. I was cranky, hungry, tired and in much pain from my knees and feet but unwilling to take an IB prophen with out food. So although beautiful, I was glad to leave and get a meal.
After said meal we headed off to the Colosseum and spent a good hour inside. We had a photo shoot, it was amazing. After that, Teena and Mike decided to stay with some pals of ours from La Spezia who were staying at a nearby hotel to accompany them on a pub crawl. The rest of us set off at Bonnie speed (Somewhere between Mach 3 and 4) and hit up the outsides of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill(both already closed) the facade of the military museum, some random ruins, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain before grabbing some pizza and gelato and rushing back to the last shuttle at 11:30 at night. On the way I managed to spill some of my cioccolate gelato onto my white skirt, which I am still trying to get out. Eh. Thats what bleach it for, right?
But then Bonnie and I had a fight about where the shuttle stopped. She said that if it wasn't where she said it was she was crazy. Guess what? She is. I was right and it was another block down. I win. Never question my sense of direction and placement in a geographical area. D:
But I want to go back to Rome some say. And I will. :)

Train Hell
Resulting in no Pompeii for me and Meredith. What kind of suck did I endure yesterday? The worst kind. Meredith and I got suck in the South Central LA of Italy.... which we call Naples. Which is worse, because they speak Italian and not English (or Spanish). And we didn't have anything to do on top of it all. So we spend probably 100 euro or so to take a train to and from no where..... bleck.
But Rome was amazing. I'll talk about that when I am settled from yesterdays hell. I hate trains.

Florence!
Oh Florence! I am definitely going again, mostly because it was a holiday (For St. Florence btw, who knew?) so everything was closed early. The train ride there was almost as unbearable as the one we had out of Milan.... and then we chilled in the station for longer than was necessary. Everybody (our group was 9 people, ick) aside form me and the other veggie Leah, ate at McDonald's. And can I just tell you how much better their menu over here is than the states? A Greek burger? Caprese and Greek salad? Sweet deal! Moving on. I didn't get a chance to look at the super cheap backpacks that I kinda actually need because my group was on a dash for I dont even know. My feet still hurt from Milan by the way, so I was not able to keep up like normal, and I am no pansy when it comes to walking. I am a trooper!
Moving along, we got the best gelato yet (7 euro, eek!) but I guess Florence is where gelato was conceived so I brushed it off. I mean, It was pretty freakin' delicious. Then we breezed through the square, did NOT get to go into the Duomo, lost our tour guide, found our tour guide and then Meredith, Leah and I broke form the group because it was just too many people. We took our time wandering. Chilled in the M.A.C. store for a while contemplating make-overs. Got some white wine and some sankes, then got boxed Italian wine and went in search of a place to watch the sunset. Found a wall over looking the river instead and took a seat and waited to see what all the hub-bub was about as there were people gathering. Apparently there were fireworks at 10, which was nice.
We decided to head back and catch the next train to La Spezia but got some really good food on the way and met a nice guy who lives in La Spezia. The next train didn't leave until 12:30, and as it was only 10:45 we decided to search out a bathroom and got some cheese and drinks at another restaurant. Met up with the group we ditched and hopped onto the train and passed out only to wake up to a cranky conductor who was upset that we hadn't stamped our tickets, never having done this before we were all rather confused. He charged us 10 euro instead of 25 (5 for each who didn't get a stamp) and let us go.
Woke up in Pisa for the 1:30hr layover I wasn't aware of. And then we went on a hike to the Leaning Tower at 2:00 in the morning. At this point, I have blisters, I am not only fatigued but sleepy and rather confused. But we got there, and with some help from a nice police officer, managed to take horribly tourist-y pictures like you do. Then we hiked back. Then we waited for our delayed train, only to discover that there were no seats left in the rooms. So we sat on the ones that fold up into the wall and managed to sleep like that.
Come 4:30 in the morning we arrive in La Spezia! Hurrah! Needless to say I missed language class. And I leave for Rome tomorrow morning! I'm just running all over the place! I'm either gonna be on a roll or keel over when I get home.
Back from Milan!
Which started out awesome, by the way, breaking my camera the night before and then cutting the back of my head open on an open window getting something out of my back.... that was fun. My roomie Leah and I had fun playing doctor.
Milan was hot. And the hostel was groady (first hostel experience) So on top of it being hot, we really didn't shower.... and all I had was a small day pack with a few shirts and a skirt because I thought I'd be carrying it with me everywhere. And I had no camera. So my goals were camera and purse. I went to the Duomo without a camera, sucked. It was amazingly beautiful! Did some shopping because I didn't bring a pretty dress to wear to the opera we didn't get into.
Then, after not sleeping well, not showering at all, being smelly, sweaty, scabby(yeah, my head scabbed) and all around gross we went to get onto a train to come back to La Spezia only to learn we couldn't get a ticket until the 12:25 train. So we hiked around to find a place for coffee and to kill time. Then we got on our train ride form hell. Heres how it went:
The first hour or so was fine and fantastic, AC was on, we had seats next to one another and we were dosing in and out of sleep; exactly as a train ride should go. The as the conductor comes 'round to punch out tickets the AC begins to leak through the lights right onto my seat. But Meredith was nice enough to forewarn me so my actual person didn't get icky AC water all over myself. Then the train stops, weird. We move along, now in icky-sticky grossness and riding B.O. Bleck. Then our train stops again. This is when the documentary started, and you will see it later. After about 45min we learn someone has thrown themselves from the train, is lying in the tracks and we are all waiting for an ambulance to peel them off (she didn't die by-the-way). Another hour rolls by and we are told (mind you we don't speak Italian, so we only know this through some nice passengers who know broken English) that we need to grab our junk and hike through the wilderness that our train stopped in to another train farther up the track, which we couldn't see, and to hop on that thing. Once we get there we hop on and find some seats. This train is much worse, with no AC, more people than it can handle and gnarley B.O. lingering everywhere and getting worse. SO we marinate in this car for a good 20 more minutes until it leaves. Then (another nice passenger tells us) that we have to get off at this stop, hop on another train(already full of passengers) and go to our transfer station. We do so. Another 40 minutes down the track we are let off and we race to the ticket counter to find out if we need to get another ticket as we missed our connecting train. Okay. As we are waiting in line this older Italian jack-ass starts to talk to us in Italian really irritated-like. Counting as us in Italian and yelling "go!" as well. When we finally get to the counter we discover all trains are delayed by an hour or so and that we haven't missed our train. Fantastic. So we go on a very unsuccessful gelati hunt. So we find our gate, and as stubborn as I am I set off on my own to scout out gelati at the Genova train station. Being the clever girl I am I not only manage to ask for directions but I get the gelati and back in record time. Then these 2 italian guys begin to hover over us and talk to us. Now, on any other normal day here in Italia, Teena would be all over this. But we were so fed up and tired (having had our 3hr ride turned into 6 at this point) that we totally blew them off. But Italian men are tricky beasts and don't take no right off the bat, being ridiculously aggressive. Eventually they finally gave up the chase much to our delight, leaving us in peace to doze or journal or whatever. Luckily nothing went wrong, and we got back on this train no problems. But our nice 3 hour ride had turned into 8, arriving home around 8 or 8:30. So we decided not to go to Venezia the next day as previously scheduled. We went to the beach instead and burned. A much more pleasant experience I assure you.
All I can say is that I plan on doing Roma quite a bit different this up coming weekend. I am ready. Watch out!

Oh wow
Milan has been a weekend of crazy shit. I did things I have never done before and will never do again if I get a say in it.... dancing on a bar being that. And then being stuck on trains for hours because some dumb-ass jumped out and landed on the tracks. 3 hours of peaceful AC turned into 7 hours of sweltering hell! I t was awful! First our train stops, and forty minutes later we learn why, and hour after that we are told (by some really nice passengers who realized we didn't speak Italian) that we had to haul our junk and hike to another train that would take us to a train station, where we were put onto another train that had a lack of AC (keep in mind our feet are hot and swollen from wandering around Milan for the past 2 days, not to mention that hostel living renders you smelly and sticky gross) but a nice Italian woman gave me her seat about half way through the trip so I got to rest my feet. The we finally get to our connection station where we stand in a long line to find out if we need to get a new ticket or if we can exchange ours for a new train because of what happened to find that all trains are 2:45hr late because of the shenanigans pulled but the jumper. But there was this pissy guy in the line telling us things in Italian, pushing his luggage into our feet to make us walk forward and shouting "Vai! Vai! Vai!" (Go! Go! Go!) right before a teller was open for us to talk to. What a jerk. Then we couldn't find gelati, so we found our port and I left determined to find some, succeeded and met a Texan who looked as flustered and worn out as I was. Then once we finished our gelati we were being hustled by 2 Italian boys who wouldn't take a hint. It's funny, because Teena is usually all over the regazzi, but she was having none of these two, it's how worn we were. But our next train had AC, had foot space, and didn't have any jumpers! Thank, freaking GOD! It was ridiculous.
Oh, did I mention I broke my camera the night before we left so I spent almost all of the time I was in Milan camera-less? I finally bit-the-bullet and got a camera I would never have bought in any other circumstance. But I have to have a camera. I do. But it cut me deep. I miss the old gal. She is so awesome.... I'll have to take her to the camera hospital once I am back in the states!

Mosquitos!
Are eating me alive!!! D: I"m so itchy! So itchy! Ahhhh!!!!
But besides that, a group of us went storming the castle yesterday and it was AMAZING! Holy crap man, I mean really. Will I have pictures to show. We all took a sketching break at one point as well. That was interesting. It was so awesome!
I'm too distracted to talk... it's 7:03am and my roommates want to know what I did last night. Which was watch the Italy-France Game in a cafe. Thats right, hard core! :D

Italia- Day 4 or something
Settling in. Did some grocery shopping today, which is a little weird because it different from the grocery stores in the US. And I cant read any labels..... so I'm super paranoid that I am going to grab something with meat stuffs in it! Ahhh! But one of my roomies is a vegetarian as well, so we're kinda looking out for each other. I like it. OH! And apparently we are all Pisces. Random and weird, but cool at the same time. I'm getting along a lot with the people in our class and our group. I can tell though, that some of them aren't people I'd like to be around all the time.
My current gripe is a few buggie bites I have that itch like crazy. Damn Rain. But I brought the hydrochortizon creme, so I'm good to go!
I also had my first italian class today, and I think the teacher spoke a total of 4 words in english to us. It was incredibly overwhelming, but great! Io sono americana. E sono di San Diego! haha! Buono! I"m so excited about being here.... already have two big weekend trips planned. Next weekend is Milan and Venice, and then Rome, Pompeii and Naples if we choose. I think that this trip will be long, but I don't feel out of place here at all. I feel very relaxed and just... awesome. Thats all. :D
Ps: If you want a call from me, I downloaded Skype onto my computer and paid for a month of unlimted calling from my computer!!!!! So if you want a call.... send me your number!

Italia: Day 1
oh boy! And what a day it's been! It is absolutely amazing out here! So beautiful.... and the wine is SOOO cheap! It's a little ridiculous.... Sensory overload for sure!
SO far today we had orientation, a tour, and then a few of us went wandering through a castle, an ancient church, hiked through random house areas, and shopped in downtown. Bought an ass-ton of wine (we went through 4 bottles last night) and are going bar-hopping tonight for one of the gals birthdays.
And one of my roommates that we lost just wandered back into the apartment. Hurrah!

Only a week!
And oh boy, am I running around like crazy. Trying to get projects done before I leave, projects ready to take with me, pack, clean, shop, get homework done and see people before I go! AH! So not much of an update now, but I plan on posting here whilst in Italia! So I will be alerting my public *hair flounce*.
And I am having a good-bye Boba trip! Wednesday Night, June 11th, 8:30 pm. Be there or DIE! Seriously.

Wednessday
And my sun burn still hurts like a beast. :( Forgive me if when we hang out I am bra-less.... it's just too painful! Not even kidding!
Besides that, not much to report. Realizing that with less than 2 weeks 'til Italy, I have a buncha-junk to get done.
Lotsa list to compile. Lotsa stuff to pack. And homework to be done. Yes, homework before the class, I know. But she assigned it so we wouldn't have to do jack-squat once we get there but show up to class and listen. I like her. :)

Rock-n-Roll Marathon!
Amazing! Whose up for next year? So far it's me, John, Any and I think Jarvis. Lets get some ladies! If you don't run, you have to be there to cheer me on! :D
Then i accompanied my mom and brother and their friends to the Pat Benatar concert. Very cool! But it made me feel lonely.... :( All her hits..... D:
Anyway... I guess I have to wait until the weekend. Or a week from Tuesday. Which I hope is not the case, because I leave for Italy two days later..... AHHHHHHHH! ITALY! I'm So excited! I'm so scared!

Ok!
Apparently I am back with a vengeance. Who knew?
I should have, that's for sure.
But why at post at 6:30 you ask....? Ah, well, very good explanation I have. My madre's in a race! and She needed to be there at 5am, so I was designated chaufer. Hm-hmm! I win!
But in consequence I get to contemplate all those things you think about during the times everyone else is asleep. Hmm. Still a good day!

Crazy Pet Psychic
"We never get over them, we just get used to living without them."
Well, if that isn't the truth in so many ways.
Well, if that isn't the truth in so many ways.
Ah yes.
Life is back on track! I have work I have things to do! My problems are dealt with (at least for the time being). And generally I am feeling better than I have been. Talked to Florida Chris today, and it was a great conversation. It was something I needed and I am way happy to report that he is doing very well, or at least is on his way to be. I am on a hunt for something to put as my background..... mrah!! :) I am in a good mood.... even though there are things I am trying to work out in the back of my head. But I am happy. Nice'n'happy!

And so it goes
One more for the road.... my new Favorite song. :)
And So It Goes- Billy Joel
In every heart there is a room
A sanctuary safe and strong
To heal the wounds from lovers past
Until a new one comes along
I spoke to you in cautious tones
You answered me with no pretense
And still I feel I said too much
My silence is my self defense
And every time I've held a rose
It seems I only felt the thorns
And so it goes, and so it goes
And so will you soon I suppose
But if my silence made you leave
Then that would be my worst mistake
So I will share this room with you
And you can have this heart to break
And this is why my eyes are closed
It's just as well for all I've seen
And so it goes, and so it goes
And you're the only one who knows
So I would choose to be with you
That's if the choice were mine to make
But you can make decisions too
And you can have this heart to break
And so it goes, and so it goes
And you're the only one who knows

ewww.
changed things. Made it easier for me to have it my way. Apparently my html skillz no longer count. :/ But I need a picture or two to personalize this beast!
And so it ends.
My mopey, icky state. I am out! I am happy! It didn't happen the way I imagined.... but whan has anything happened like I think it will...? This morning when I thought it would be funny if I made a rescue my first day back and did...? nah. :)
I've come to terms with some things in my life, and will more or less learn how to accept them later on. Not that I want to really..... but that's how things are and I know that in the end it really doesn't matter. I mean, I got what I want anyway, who cares as to the reasons why?
Please don't be confused, I am not being facetious or sarcastic. I am really happy with the way things turned out. Amused a bit as well. But there is always something in the back of your head nagging... and if you don't, it's because you have a real person to do it for you. :p
And in other news, an old pal of mine who I though was hard-core trying to erase me from their life has been initiating some conversation. Freaking me out a bit, but in the most awesomest of ways. :D Good to have you back bud!

What a time to choose...
I finally remembered my blog. And what a time to remember! I'm fairly sure no one checks here since I haven't posted since last December.... so I feel safe venting a bit. Even if someone wanders across this page, I'm sure it will be after this is in the open. Keeping that in mind however, I will only be talking about my feelings here without the cause or reason. I still feel like I need to protect something, maybe just for my peace of mind, but still. You'll probably be able to piece somethings together without the details.
I am distraught and my mind is asea. I don't know how to think about it anymore. I am unclear as to where this is going. I was smart not to believe that the other night was the end of it. I am a much smarter person than that, and I know these things will take time to heal or sever, which ever happens to happen. It doesn't help that I feel totally alone one this.... I can neither be in that state of mine, nor can I be in my state of mind. Either one is too difficult to deal with. I am clinging to hopes and beliefs that I hope aren't ungrounded, that I hope are well warranted and will see me to where I need (and hopefully to where I want) to be.
There is a letter I am writing, and I hope it is a letter I never have to send. Or maybe I will send it anyway, if things turn out in my favor, which I am not sure what is right now. There are valid points from both arguments and my intermittent and persuasive nature does nothing but fail me now.
I hate this. I want it to go away.
