What I made Kenna

And her pictures are way better than any I would have taken. I blame it on the crappy light in our house and her probable-better-than-me-ability to take pictures. Almost better looking than when I gave them to her!

the owl hat I made her! Everyone had a hard time seeing it until I told them. :p

and she wanted a fancy fanny pack for workin' the farmers market with her madre! I think I pulled it off quite well! :)

Christchex!

Ohh xmas! What an event you were. I had a lot of fun though, lots of family, lots of friends, lots of dogs! It was glorious, as our dogs decided that they were going to be awesome for xmas and not rip each others throats up. Flip and Watson were awesome! (I don't mention Lilah, because she's not a problem for the most part) they even cuddled! (at least what I consider cuddling to be!)

It was quite a grand occasion! Then Robin and I did some follow up shopping today, which was quite successful! :)

3 days and counting.

our lurvly tree!

And the last few days have been exciting also. It all begins with me chasing an adolescent husky through our neighborhood and into the next one with our neighbor the pet groomer... Him in his car for the most part and me on foot for the most part. It was unsuccessful. :( We did manage to chase him to his own home, so I can only hope that although he evaded us, he swung back around when we were gone to sneak in. What I got out of it is increasingly weird (only because I don't normally run) sore spots on my legs and abs.

whit modeling the flower brooch I made. :)

Then we had awesome ornament party craftin'. I think it was terribly successful! Although my punch was a bit strong, I liked it and had a wonderful night!
Then there was the non-caroling party last night. It was not considered caroling because we did not go door to door because of the rain. It was fun never the less!
a really terrible pic of Kenna and I at the sing-a-long!

And then at the end of the night, Robin's cousin got in a pretty gnarly accident unfortunately. She's okay, but broke her pelvis in a few places, which is going to be very uncomfortable if not downright painful for a few weeks or months. I'm glad that she's alright though, she's a pretty cool cat.
You can hear me singing out of tune at one point!

Apathetic

and confused by it. I suppose it's because christmas is near, but not as near as this feeling usually happens on. Weird. I guess since I have mostly everything taken care of that my body decided to get the icky part over with first to enjoy the rest of the time? Hopefully!

I will have christmas tree pictures soon! :)

I like nothing more...

than weird things going on in my body. Lumps that hurt in my armpit? Awesome. Random smattering of zits on my face? Hope it's just PMS. (which I have never had thank you!) All I hope is that whatever is going on with my lymph-nodes isn't related to MRSA. I hate that shit. I really do.

Sorry for being so negative lately. This armpit funk I have seems to be affecting my mood. Only a bit though. Guess it's time to have a check-up... yay...! I guess.

Frustration.

There's nothing I love more than losing something. I love it so much because it never happens. Once in a very rare while I will misplace something, but I never lose anything. I am cautious to the point of being obsessive over my things. I don't mind people using them, and I don't mind lending them out, but I expect people to take care of them and either give it back to me or at least place it in a location close to where they got it from. So when I can't find something of mine I freak out, because it means a) it's stolen, b) being used by someone else, or the very rare c) I put it somewhere where 'i wouldn't forget' and then forget it. In the case of c, I will eventually find it by either thinking about it long enough to retrace my steps or rifle through ll my things until I come across it.

I have been missing a very important necklace since Robin and Josh's wedding. (the last place I remember wearing it. I have photographic evidence.) That means it's been MIA for almost 6 mo now, and I have been looking for it the whole time. I'm officially upset over it, and will throw a fit if someone tells me it's gone, because it means someone else was careless with it or took it without asking and hasn't given it back. I would be very upset, yet extremely relieved if it was the latter and I got it back. But I'm not going to be content until everyone and everything in this house has been turned upside down. That's how important it is to me. I've already lost extremely important jewelry in my life, and I'm sure I will again, but I will make sure that it's never because of my carelessness again.

It's turned into a rather exciting week for me. I was so glad that I was able to spend pretty much the whole time that my cousin was in town with her! We had so much to talk about! It's pretty funny, because you'd think that we'd always have so much to talk about seeing as none of us apparently know how to use a phone, but normally we hang out and watch movies and talk about things like that. I also got to have a nice chat with my other cousin who is in NY, whom I haven't seen in over 2 years! :( Lamers for sure. Thanksgiving was amazing as always, it seems that since I became a vegetarian that my mom has started cooking much better food. I've said it before and will probably many times more in explanation, but it appears that meat was the puzzle piece that didn't fit in my life. Since I don't eat it any more, I eat significantly more food and it's not just because of calorie intake. I really am one of those people who don't need meat in their diet. It's makes me really glad, because I've never enjoyed it. Yay life decisions!

Then I had a very successful gathering of decorations and ornaments for the tree we will aquire sometime soon. (I hope!) First with Whit up in Del Mar, then at the 99 cent store, I have many much things to be festive with! It's super exciting! I also have things to make stockings with, so I will be very busy. But enough rambling, here are my now habit pictures of the sunset at my grandmas house!

Thanksgiving!

I am very excited to see my Uncle and Cousin tomorrow! I'm sad the other cousin and Aunt wont be coming, but I'll take what I can get! I am baking my cheesecake later today, which I'm not sure if people are excited about or not, but they're going to get it regardless.

Last week was quite eventful, I got a new job at a private swim school, so I'm super stoked on that. I'm employed this spring! Awesome! We also had a staff water polo game for our inservice, which was bomb except I'm still recovering from a bruised rib. And yes, it was that intense of a game! And then at my first day of training at the new job I managed to slice the side of my thumb off while hoisting out one of the docks. Still a pretty awesome week.

Today besides baking, I am going to see the new Harry Potter, and I will also be heading over to Kenna's mom's to buy some jewelry for my cousins! Whoo! I have a few more christmas presents to make, and my art final to figure out, so I have a lot to do this break!

2 days late!

But here are pictures from John's run sunday! He got 20th in his age group, running 1/2 marathon in 1:50.17!

we were up at 5:40am, it's been a while since I've seen one of these!
Watson came with us! He was a very good boy in the car and with all the people! He got so much attention, although he still isn't into dogs that aren't Lilah.
The firefighters run in the races each year, always with hats and in line!
And then this car was playing the jams! It was like a pimped out smart car!

Stealing again.

From Kenna this time! I like her idea of a photo-look-back-at-my-week. So I'm taking my camera with me again and am trying to take more pictures! However, don't be surprised if they're mostly of our dogs. :)
The puppies are even closer now, they are beginning to cuddles each other :) (even if it's only with they're butts...)
I took them to my parents house to celebrate my dad being smoke free for a whole year! go him! However, a combination of Flip and aggressive affection from my dad made them cower on my lap, at the same time.
Dog Beach! Watson's finally getting used to the water!

An exciting day for me.

I had a guy call the pool and get very angry at me because the pool's schedule wasn't coming up on the page. Turns out he wasn't on the city's website but some other one. And so he asks me why google gave him the wrong page. Seriously, why google didn't have the first page be the city's? Who knows. This goes on for a few minutes, and he's getting quite exasperated. He finally asks me to get on a computer to help him out and I tell him he can't, he gets upset and ask's why I don't have internet connection I tell him that I'm just a lifeguard, not a web tech. "Oh, well, what are your hours tomorrow? 11-3? okay, thanks. Bye!" I love some of the phone calls I get. I'll add that right under: "Sooo... whats with the weather?"

Then a guy came in asking about our facility for his son who has had a stroke. Now I know that shouldn't be very exciting, but I just got my Adapted Aquatics Instructor certificate. So I was happy to be able to help him out!

Lastly, a photographer came by looking to rent the pool for a shoot. After asking me if I was a good swimmer and getting my info to call for me to model some gear for them, he asks me how old I was. I guess I look like I need parental consent still! Cracked me up! Good Day!

And congrats to my dad for being smoke free for a year today! We're proud of you!

Halloween!

I had a very busy halloween. I've been sewing costume for almost the entire month, I made the majority (and difficulty) part of Robin's outfit, drafted and sewed the majority of John's outfit, made all of my outfit, and then I also made Watson a little gi to wear but since he is weird shapes it came right off so he ended up wearing a piece of black cloth around his neck. After those were done and ready to go the boys and I began cleaning until this fool came around:
He needed me to make him a 5 o'clock shadow since he can't quite procure one himself yet. Then I continued cleaning until we left for groceries, then decorated, then made bomb-ass punches and got all did up for our Pirates vs. Ninjas war!!!
Team Awesome:
And our first family portrait:
And then when Lilah decided she didn't want to be my Parrot Dog any longer, she took a ride on her daddy's stomach:
And all was awesome!

Oh nintendo....

You tease me. Why do you come out with a platform I want in my favorite color? When I don't need or have time for it? WHY? Oh well... I will dream...

X-mas.

I hate thinking of what to do for people for x-mas. Okay, not entirely true, but having to think of something and then executing that something, a big pain-in-the-ars. Must easier when people tell me what they want, or at least a theme or whatever. An idea to build upon is all I ask. Really, thinking of all the people I need to have presents for, and then all the ones who are expecting something I made, my goodness! Why to much time and effort. I wish people would tell me something, anything. "I want owl stuff." or "I need foot warmers." All good answers."

Puppy!

Kenna's new puppy is cute! She also seems to think that one day she will be top dog over Fats! So cute! AHHH! Makes me want a puppy, but mostly just love on my own puppy more! :)

Most exciting walk home from a bar. EVER.

Robin, Josh, Whitney and I left the bars early, R, J and I did because I'm watching Flip and I don't trust all the dogs together. (they were fine, btw) Our whole walk was quite and calm and great until we pass creepy stilt house on the canyon in South Park and see some girl passed out in the brush. None of us really saw it at first and we weren't being especially quiet, so if she so was fine she would have heard us. As soon as Whit and I realize what is up we check for consciousness (yay for lifeguards!) she doesn't respond to verbal stimuli, so I touch her arm, which thank goodness wakes her drunk ass up. I offer to help her up and we get her up out of the canyon brush and notice that she has peed herself and she has a leash attached to an empty collar. She does not immediately admit she has a dog, but after we convince her to let us walk her home she tells us about him (a 175 lb mastiff/lab combo) we also get her to tell us where she lives. She is smart enough, thank goodness, not to trust us completely and doesn't tell us everything so we leave her to wonder the last House or so on her own. But WOW. That was intense. SERIOUSLY. I have never felt my first responder training kick in as much as it did. But it made me super glad that I have it, and that I am comfortable with it. Robin said she didn't think she would have necessarily stopped if she had been alone. (she did say she would have called 911 however a few feet away) But MAN! I t was the most surreal experience I have ever had. We all for sure thought this chick was dead. I was fully prepared to do some CPR and rescue breathing. Dude. Glad she turned out to be okay for the most part.

And It's over.

Last night was it, the last night of the last show of the Festival season. It was a good night. They had all us crewbies bow, it was good times. Then we struck and went home. Rather anti-climactic. But I did get a hug or two that night, and a bottle of wine and some awesome tips. I'm going to miss it, but I'm also going to be grateful for some normal people time. SERIOUSLY. I have my evenings back again. Now I have time to go over my resume and find another job! Hurrah the cycle of theatre! I love it though. We'll see how long I can keep this up before I decide I have to have a more regular job....

SDSU

is not making a very good impression on me. We are not on friendly terms. By far, even though I am not enrolled nor have ever boon, they continue to make my life more difficult. So far, not once since John has applied there has anything gone they way it should. You're in, you're out, you're kinda in, have some money! no, never mind. Wait, yes please have some! No I lied again. Come back later, or not at all. Reapply later, maybe, who knows. They way they are treating John is pissing me off. I'm sure it doesn't help that i work over 50 hours a week, or that I've added a class into that mess. Nor does the fact that in a month I will be down one less job, one less income. And finding another one is not only difficult but near impossible because I moved away from where I should have stayed. Awesome. But it's just probably one of those days. It's really not that bad, I'm just tired and frustrated. And I don't see the end of that tunnel anytime soon. I'm so glad I rushed to get out of school and into the real world. Great choice that turned out to be.

He's here! He's awesome!!!

2 days!

And I will has my own computer! Yay! After about a year of fixing and borrowing and anything else to either fix or obtain a computer to use I will have one! That has a fan, and connects to the internet and whose tracking pad works still! So excited! :)

Wedding Photos!

Pretty much all over the facebook already. One of the photographers was my old boss and he decided he wanted to do a mini-photo shoot with me off in some foliage by the tourist stuff. This is one of the 2 I've seen from that, and I think it's pretty rockin'. The rest of the pictures from the wedding are pretty okay too, I guess. :p But hit up the facebook and go to Robin's mom's photo albums and check it out! :)

A long time..

Since I've posted, eh? Been to busy to really update, and you know, not having a computer doesn't help. But everyone lets me use theirs, so it's not like I'm completely out of it. I finally have a desk in my craft station! It's not set up yet... because I have way to much shit. But John at let made it possibly for me to move my mountain of crap out there! He's awesome, I get back rubs most nights now when I come home from work! Go me! :) And him I suppose too!

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

ugh!

feeling the energy of being productive, but can't quite place what to direct it towards. Online shopping isn't going so hot... and as for packing I'm kind of at an impass. I really don't have much room for things to go... I need to get my desk in here. I need to find a dresser. I need trays and bins and such... and so there is not much to do. I suppose I will go take a shower... and maybe knit something. Maybe play some game boy... or read... or eat. Not really sure. Any suggestions would be more than welcome! :p

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

alrighty!

I kind of have a computer! I set Johns up at least, so I can access the internet without feeling like a mooch. :) And in a month or so I will go buy myself my own new lappy and all will be well! Hurray!!! :) John is all moved in, and working too! Go Bev Mo. You rock! He still has a lot of unpacking to do, and I have a lot of work to get done before robin and josh get back, so off the internet I go!

Saturday, May 29, 2010

The weekend!

Should be very exciting. After I get my laundry done I am meeting up with Robin for some shopping and then back to our place for the bachelorette party! Which may or may not be terrefying... Her cousin is in charge, and I think Kim is great, but I'm not sure her idea and Robin's idea of the ideal bachelorette party are the same. At all, we'll see though, I could be wrong.

I've also almost finished my first week of dressing for the Old Globe's festival season! I have today off for Robin's party, other wise I would be working today too. It's been coool so far. I have TONS of down time. Lots of knitting and pokemon. Hopefully I'm doing a good job so I can find some more work like this in the future. It ain't half bad!

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

YEEESSS!!!

We got the place in serra mesa! We win!!! Go-go parents being co-signers and loan sharks! I love it! :D

Also, the landscaping is lacking. So I'm feeling this:

nothing like succulents to keep it cheap!!! :) And Maybe a zen garden.... we'll see how much we can spend!

Monday, May 17, 2010

waiting...

So... no word from that guys whose place we put applications for on saturday... a little antsy. Robin called him at least four times, and I called him once. AHHH!!! Anyway. John applied for a job with the city.... really hope he gets it! I don't really don't have that much to say... Just waiting for a bunch of stuff.

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

New everything!

So, my life is basically being thrown up into the air and re-organized! I am waiting for a call from the old globe to tell them I am IN for a new job there, and then will be awaiting a phone call this weekend (hopefully) to let us know we have a home to live in!!! Oh boy, oh boy. Terribly excited. And I also think that I found a new job for John, because I am amazing! AMAZING!!!! So if your job hunting, check sandiego.gov, you may find something for you!

Crazy town!

Oh these few weeks... are getting crazy! The home crunch, the two jobs, the making sure there is enough money, birthdays, 2 week notices, and probably some other crazy crap I will remember later.

And then there was my adventure yesterday. Trying to come home after walking dogs at the Bonita shelter, missed my exit for the 8w/125n and was heading to el centro. Long story short, I got lost in el cajon then in la mesa and managed to find a Michaels which caused me to be leaving that shopping center at the same time a middle school got out, making it nearly impossible to leave out the one exit, so I go the back way, get lost again and manage to find fletcher parkway. My 20 min drive home? It was an hour and a half yesterday! Go me!

On the other hand I think Kenna's birthday present will be awesome!

Monday, April 26, 2010

The begining...

of two very long weeks for me. I will be getting close to 30 hrs each week at Barns and Noble and then close to 20 at Bud Kearns. Almost 50 hrs each week, which means about 100 hrs this next biweekly!! Am I insane? I must be.

And the house hunt is on! And hopefully I'll be sane enough to stay with it and pull my weight with finding a place.

And John is hunting for a car this week too. It seems as soon as my car troubles were over his begun. Fun times.

Robin and Josh's wedding is 6 weeks away.

Kenna and Scott are planning theirs.

And I'm more or less where I was last year.

Gonna be a busy couple of weeks!

Monday, April 19, 2010

This week!

Should be good. I'm not working that much due to both the brother and the Madre's b-days. I got them both books, (book in mom's case), as per usual now. Sorry if that's irritating to you guys. I'm going to go buy my mom a work out suit at some point which my dad will pay me back for... but I don't know what size she where's anymore!

I started and finished my lemon purse. Amazing! I'll have pictures shortly, I promise! It's beautiful! I like the fabric so much I'm thinking about going and getting more just 'cuz.

Also: finished Changes, the last current book in the Dresden series. Whew! 12 books in 2 months! How about that!!!

And since reading and playing pokemon the last few weeks, I am pokemon'd and Dresden'd out! Mostly the dresden part. It helps that I bought Rune Factory 2 last week! Yeah! Go me! If you've never played Rune Factory: fix that. It's a way awesome game. W.A.Y.A.W.E.S.O.M.E. seriously.

I've also got my laptop problem under control. Robert agree'd to fix it for me, and upon taking it apart discovered my fan is not a sony but a toshiba. WTF? In my vaio? Weird. But the part is between $150-180 plus shipping, so I don't know if I'm going to get a new fan. He says one of those external one's should be fine. I will probably do that and then get a new computer this summer or next year depending on how long it works. My lappy is 4 years old and all. He be an old man! :p

But that has been my life so far.

Oh, also: Love my new car! I still need seat covers and such, but those will come in time. And I can drive stick now! w007!

Tuesday, April 06, 2010

Oy, oy, oy.

So about 2 weeks after my car problems are solved John's shift into high gear. His car is kaputnik for goodsies, so he's on the search for a new one. But luckily for him I know where ALL the used car dealerships have gone! Yay for him!

Other than that, I'm on book 9 of now 12 of the Dresden Files. I bet I finish the last book I have before everyone ahead of me is done reading the new one!!! Mwahaha! I have to put my super-evil reading powers to the test sometimes, or I'll get out of practice. Good times.

Also, in the middle of playing Pokemon Soul Silver! Robin and I knid of have a cult going, and we gain members quite often! We're amazing!

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Here's a really terrible picture of my new car! How hot do I look? I'm just glad I'm not hunting the streets for a car anymore. :)
And I finished a pin cushion I got a pattern for for 50 cents. It's okay. But now I have the general dynamics of a pin cushion down. :)

And...

now a phone! better and better everyday! :)

Saturday, March 20, 2010

Much Better.

I can check a car off my list of broken things. Pictures coming soon. :)

Friday, March 19, 2010

I must hate the 21st century.

1. No car
2. No computer
3. No phone

What's next? no running water? Wood burning stove? Plumbing? Stick around and find out!

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

The Car Hunt Continues!

But not very well I might add. Icky even. Have yet to find anything worth spending the money on. I saw some stuff in San Berdoo, but nothing I wanted so badly as to get my pops out there to drive it. And the stuff I see online is all the same... :( Oh well. Se la vie. Stupid cars.... Stupid!

Sunday, March 07, 2010

KOOZA!!!

John's birthday present was to take me to Kooza! The Cirque du Soleil show playing in SD right now. :) It was amazing! He spent to much money one the tickets he got (we were in the 8th row!) but it was WAY worth it! I love Cirque so much! I should work for them! :p I have to say though, that the contortionists that opened the show grossed me out just little bit with the unnatural way they were bending. But it was still so cool! AHHHHHHHHH! :D

Alice in Wonderland Birthday Extravaganza!

I had such a blast last night with my gang! It was wonderful! A lot of people came to dinner with us at Soup Plantation and then to the line for Alice in Wonderland to be seen at midnight! It meant a lot to me to have you all come, I had the best time! And I loved the movie! It was fabulous! It means even more to me now that I know that most of you needed to wake up 4 hours after the movie ended! You guys ROCK!!!!! :D

Edited

Not only am Kenna, Robin and I engaged. My good great friend from college, Carla, is also now engaged and family friend's daughter Liz, engaged too. 5. There is freaking FIVE of us engaged! What the HECK!!! I'm starting to freak out here. Any one else in? Let's just keep it coming until Robin and Josh's wedding. I want all of my friends to be engaged by then. Seriously. What's this about?

Sunday, February 28, 2010

ALL Three of us!

Are Engaged! Weird! Kenna got engaged to this morning after her and her honey put in applications for an apartment (which it also sounds like it'll go through!) It seems so crazy to me that all three of us are all engaged at the same time.... Not really sure why though. It is terribly exciting! AHH! :) We're going to become old biddies soon! :p

Thursday, February 25, 2010

No word yet...

From the league! Bwahaha! I love that. Anyway. Really. We still don't know what's going on with the car situation of ours. Go Geico! You may have clever commercials, but your customer service seems to be lacking. I've still been on the search for new vehicles... but won't actually go out into the world to get one until we for-sure-for-sure know how much we'll be getting. It's exciting I tell you.

And I still haven't decided what I want to do with my lappy situation.

My birthdays coming up! It your having troubles with what to get me, cash will be more than acceptable this year given my situation. But if you'd still prefer to be more personal (I don't blame you) you can get some really kniffty here! :)

And I've been trying to be crafting up a storm... and not making as much progress as I thought I would. It's all those damn touch-ups and fixes I've ben putting off that I need to finish. :P I just need to learn to say no.... But it's okay. I've started a list, and will be starting an inspiration book soon! When I have money, as I am becoming poorer and poorer each month. Fail.

Car shopping

Is going to be fun, let me tell you! My dad and I have found a few things on the internet that are of interest, so when we actually make out to the lots and such it should be good. Still not what I would have liked to do, but hey, thats life.

I've also found this cool place called ScarpBlog. It allows you to make scrapbooks online! Take that paper! There are a lot of cool, free designs you can use and you can order them to be printed into different things (a real book or a greeting card) I'm really intrigued by it... and you can connect via Facebook! What a concept! Awesome-sauce!

My valentimes

John and I went and saw Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, which I liked a lot even though there were two very BIG problems with the mythology... but I'll learn to live I guess. :) Then we went out to dinner with Robin and Jake which was cool, and then hid in her room while her roommates went crazy in the living room!

John also go his scarf, which I think he likes. I might not find out until next year, because I may have missed his scarf-wearing season. Oh well. I'll post pictures later... as I am still using my madre's laptop. I'm still trying to figure that situation out. And I also am going to go car shopping starting next week.... funness! But I'm taking one thing at a time. So as soon as I have my car worked out, I'll work on the lappy.

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Oh to be organized...

I'm drooling over some needle cases on etsy right now instead of car, laptop or house perusing. I'm really trying not to look at organizers and decorating things right now... because I can't do anything about anything for another couple of months here. But then the organizing and decorating can begin! Mwahaha! Here are some of the things I like and would like to make in my future free time :)

I want to sew! But I don't like my current fabric stash. :( Boo! I demand a trip to the fabric store! It shall be so!

Finished!

I finished the scarf that would never end.... and I kind of cheated. Tassels are great, no? They are, the the guy better like them. I will post pictures once he has received said gift, being that we didn't see each other valentines day. I think he'll really enjoy it though. He better! :)

In other news I ran some woman off the freeway today. My mom says it wasn't my fault. I was merging into the exit land for Aero, and some car honked at me, so I turned to see what the deal was to see a car skid sideways across the freeway and stop before hitting the median in the awesome dirt pit next to it. Who ever you are, I am sorry and I hope your okay. Your car looked fine. I was pretty shaken up the rest of the afternoon. But I'm positive you weren't there when I checked before merging over. Sorry. :/

Just one more thing to tag onto my list of awesomeness of february. Yay.

This week just keeps getting better!

Both in the literal and sarcastic senses. First comes first: still no word from the insurance yet. boo. But its okay, because they still have to pay for my rental car. In your face geico!

Second, on one of my awesome 12 hour work days, my lappy's battery a'sploded. :( Sad times... so I'm back on mi madre's compy for the time being. Fun.

Thirdly I had a night terror last night. And I mean a terror of terrors. I woke the whole family up, and they thought that it was it. Apparently I screamed so horrible everyone thought I was maimed, and by the time I was woken up after I ad screamed and ran to my parents room, Dog, Dad and Brother were in the hall to my room looking for fight. It was awesome. Then My mom almost had a heart attack, and nearly fainted. My dad let me sleep in his stead with my mom, camping out with the dog in the living room. My mom and I watched HGTV until 3 or so in the morning. I woke the house up at 2:30am, and I had only gotten to sleep about 1 or 1:30. :( AWESOME. Not reading my super natural themed book tonight, needless to say.

Lastly, in the awesome news: I had an interview today with The Old Globe as a stitcher! It was so awesome! I was really nervous, but it ended up being so much less hard than I thought. Alls I did was fill out an application and then sew up some samples for them. I hadn't ever really made the things they asked me too (princess seam, zipper shank and blouse cuff with under-tuck). I am happy to say that I was perfectly able to complete these tasks! Yay! Hopefully I will get it, although it will make my summer way hard. But if it's what I need to do, I will do it. I'm just happy right now that I got to experience it. :)

Super Bowl!

Going to the Lenches for a super bowl 'party' which consists of Jeni, Rick, and our family. Fun times! I plan on knitting the majority of the time, taking breaks to maybe eat and junk. I also have plans on reserving my copy of Soul Silver! (comes out 10 days after my birthday!) Exciting times.

I've been car hunting off and on in my spare time. I've been more or less able to find cars suitable at a price I can pay. We still don't know yet though, seeing as the insurance company is being shighsty. Fun times.

On a high (and nerve-wracking for me) note, I have an interview/audition on wednesday to be a stitcher for the Old Globe's festival season! Go me! I need to get a portfolio of things I've made put together, and prepare to make a sample for them, in front of them. Good times, hopefully. Good luck to me!

My car

Was recovered yesterday, it's thrashed and mangled. My dad drove it home hot-wired. The insurance company is probably going to total it. I have mixed feelings on that... because I don't exactly have the resources to fund a car loan. Which brings me to my job dilemma... and the lack of finding one. Which I think is what is bumming me more out too, because I've taken my whole car being stolen from work quite well. At least my rental car doesn't smell like cigarettes. :/

SuX0Rz

I'm pretty sure there should be more to that word... whatever. Unimportant! What is important is that my car was stolen at work last night. Now you know why I use the word. Because it sux0rz. Big times. And know what more? My parents had $100 left to pay on it this month too. :( Lame sauce. But don't get me wrong, it was exciting to get a ride form my boss and then call the police after midnight. For sure. Luckily I read until 2 in the morning and the cop who worked on my case was not only super nice but super energetic. And I mean supre. Hopefully something comes up. I would like to have my Pac Man dice back, but you know.

Snow :)

We attempted to go dig a spot for John's car at his place this weekend, and by attempt I mean we got there, saw all the snow, then went inside and watched a movie. :) We're pretty awesome. It was cool though, there is going to be a snow day some weekend soon, so that will be fun times.
the banks were as tall as his car!
And his roommates car, covered in snow.

I am excited about one of my projects.... which I will decline to share. You already know about it if it's not for you, so no nosing around! :) I think it'll be spectacular... and I am really excited to make my valentines for friends! I have amazing ideas! <3
